The No.1 Tip To Get The Most Out of Money20/20 + A Few Insider Tips For Visitors
Best networking happens on parties.
If this is the only thing you remember from this article, it will be worth it.
Everyone who’s been attending Money20/20 before Covid will say the same.
Sure, the biggest FinTech conference in the world includes a ton of sessions, panels and everything, but the biggest value is in networking. Consider all the formal stuff as just intro to the many parties organized either by the Money20/20 or any of the exhibitors.
The event isn’t long, but if you’ve made your preparation, you will probably spare at least a couple of blocks of time during the 4 days that you can devote to yourself.
Here are some of our insider tips on how to make the most out of your short stay in Vegas for Money20/20.
How to Get Around Town?
Normally walking would be the best way to get around Vegas. Traffic there can be horrendous, and besides, the density of the city’s attractions is such that you’ll be stopping every here and there to get a better glimpse of its spectacular landmarks.
But since you’ll be spending most of your time networking in and around The Venetian, an excellent alternative is the hop-on-hop-off bus.
If weather permits, these open-roof buses are a great way to experience as much of Vegas as possible.
You can find several options for hop-on-hop-off buses on sites like Tourscanner.
The alternative is to take the famous Deuce, the double-decker public bus that operates along The Strip 24 hours a day, every day. You can find the Deuce route in PDF if you simply google it.
The Underrated Vegas Sights
The Italian-themed Venetian Resort with its amazing painted ceilings is a landmark of its own, but there’s so much worth experiencing in Downtown Las Vegas.
Getting around downtown is easier thanks to the Downtown Loop free shuttle – one of the rare things in Vegas that are free. It runs from the Strat tower at the end of The Strip to the Mob Museum downtown.
Once there, be sure to experience the entertainment on Fremont Street, where you can also book 2-hour guided tours or try the totally underrated SlotZilla Zip Line.
Just a few blocks away is the Arts District, most often overlooked, but definitely worth the visit for those seeking a more authentic feel of Las Vegas. Its restaurants and bars are nothing like the neon-lights-and-casinos typical touristy Vegas style, while the shops there will offer some fabulous vintage shopping opportunities.
For the shop-a-holics addicted to mainstream shopping brands, you can check out the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets,
Thrill-seekers will enjoy the ride on the NYNY Big Apple Coaster, as well as the unique city views from up above. Most of the time there’s no line, so you avoid the wait.
You’ll Sleep When You’re Back Home
There’s a special reward for those who decide to be flexible with their plans – if you don’t mind which of the many events in Vegas you might end up seeing, you might be able to get your hands on some random cheap tickets at the last minute.
There are discount resellers that sell same-day tickets at big discounts, and the kiosks can be found throughout town.
Save The Best For Last – A Helicopter Tour of Vegas
People especially love these after knowing The Strip on foot. Helps you put locations in perspective, percieve their actual size and their context within broader Vegas area.
You have several options when choosing a helicopter tour in Vegas, for example on sites like Viator.
A good alternative might be to ride the Lynq, world’s tallest Ferris wheel. At its highest point, it takes you to an altitude of 550 feet above The Strip!
Also be sure to ride it in the evening, with the city lights shining bright.
